Toronto Commercial HVAC repairs commercial refrigeration for restaurants, grocery stores, convenience stores, catering kitchens and food distributors across Toronto and the GTA. We repair walk-in coolers and freezers, reach-ins, prep tables, display cases and remote condensing units. All refrigeration work is done by 313A licensed mechanics.
Refrigeration failures are expensive by the hour. Product can enter the temperature danger zone within 2-4 hours, and a single walk-in freezer can hold thousands of dollars of stock. The common causes are fouled condenser coils, failed evaporator or condenser fan motors, refrigerant leaks, failed defrost heaters and timers, bad electronic controllers, torn door gaskets and failing compressors.
Repairs typically cost $450 to $3,800, plus a $225 refrigeration diagnostic. Refrigeration calls get 24-hour priority, and every repair ends with a written temperature log.

What to Do While You Wait

- Move high-risk product to working units if available.
- Note the box temperature and time for your records.
- Clear access to the condensing unit and evaporator.
- Call our 24-hour line; dispatch can help arrange a reefer.
Repair or Replace?
Most refrigeration repairs are worth doing. When a self-contained unit is past 12-15 years and needs a compressor, or a walk-in condensing unit runs on a phased-out refrigerant with a major leak, we quote replacement too. Newer systems often use R-448A or similar lower-GWP refrigerants.
