Terms of Service

Last updated: October 10, 2026

These terms apply to services provided by Toronto Commercial HVAC ("we", "us" or "our") and to use of this website. Project-specific quotes, maintenance agreements and master service agreements may include additional terms; where they differ, the signed agreement governs.

1. Commercial Services Only

We provide commercial HVAC and refrigeration services to businesses, property owners and property managers in Toronto and the GTA, including:

We do not provide residential services.

2. Authorization

By requesting service you confirm that you are authorized to request work on behalf of the building or business, and that you can grant safe access to the equipment, including roofs and mechanical rooms.

3. Diagnostics, Quotes and Pricing

  • HVAC diagnostics are $185 and are waived when the approved repair is over $750.
  • Refrigeration diagnostics are $225.
  • Calls outside regular hours (evenings, overnight, weekends and statutory holidays) carry a $185 after-hours surcharge.
  • Repairs proceed only after you approve a written quote. Refrigerant, crane lifts, permits and specialty access are listed separately.
  • Prices on this website are typical ranges in Canadian dollars, exclude HST and may change without notice.

4. Payment

Payment terms are stated on the quote or agreement. Unless otherwise agreed, invoices are due on receipt. Large projects may be billed by progress milestones with holdbacks as set out in the contract.

5. Scheduling and Cancellations

We confirm arrival windows by phone. Please give at least 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule planned work. Crane days, permits and special-order equipment may carry non-refundable costs once booked or ordered.

6. Warranty

  • Repairs: 90-day labour warranty.
  • Installations and replacements: 2-year labour warranty.
  • Parts: manufacturer parts warranties are passed through to you.

Warranties do not cover damage from misuse, power events, lack of maintenance, work by others, or conditions outside our scope. Warranty claims must reference the original work order.

7. Safety and Unsafe Equipment

If we find an unsafe condition, such as a gas leak, cracked heat exchanger or carbon monoxide risk, we may shut down and tag the appliance as required by CSA B149.1 and TSSA rules. We will explain the condition in writing and quote the repair.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, including lost product, lost revenue or business interruption, except where caused by our negligence. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount paid for the service giving rise to the claim. We carry $5M commercial general liability insurance and full WSIB coverage.

9. Website Content

Information on this website is general and does not replace an on-site assessment. Project examples describe specific past work; your results depend on your building and equipment. All website content is the property of Toronto Commercial HVAC.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply in Ontario.
